let’s Work Together

Meet Justin

A man wearing a cowboy hat, tan jacket, and jeans stands behind a red gate in a rural area, holding a mug and smiling.

Justin Harlan is the workhorse behind Creative Ranch, a design studio rooted in grit, heart, and good ol’ fashioned know-how. Raised in the wide-open spaces of rural Colorado, Justin learned early what hard work really meant—mornings that started before the sun, and days that didn’t end until the job was done. He took that same ranch-raised work ethic with him to design school, where he swapped saddles for software but kept his boots planted firmly on the ground.

These days, Justin’s mission is simple: help small businesses shine. Whether he’s building a website that actually feels like your brand, or giving your online presence the polish it deserves, he’s all in—every time. Sure, he’s got the chops to keep up with all the fast-moving tech, but like a good Kenny Chesney tune, he’s never forgotten "back where ‘he’ came from."

Fun facts

  • Now that’s a tough one to pin down, so I’ll give you my top picks: Urban Cowboy, Open Range, Tombstone, Rio Bravo, and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Can’t beat the classics.

  • Well, that all depends on the time of day. Mornin’ calls for black coffee—pure and strong. When the sun sets, it’s a cold lager to wind things down.

  • Mornin’s? I’m all about Mexican-inspired breakfast—give me chilaquiles, breakfast tacos, or anything with eggs and spice, and I’m happy as a pup in the sun. Any other time of day, fried chicken’s the way to my heart. Spicy and crispy is just the right kind of comfort.

  • Well, when it comes to how I like to spend my time, you’ll usually find me where the boots are dusty and the music’s loud—whether it’s a country concert under the stars or a good old-fashioned rodeo. Any chance I get to swing a leg over the saddle and ride again, you can bet I’m there with a big ol’ grin.

When the seasons change, I trade in the arena for the stands—I love catching a ball game in the summer sun or cheering on my team during a crisp fall football evening. And if I’m not out and about, I’m likely at the gym, where I’ve been lifting weights for the better part of 25 years. It’s a part of who I am—staying strong and showing up with grit and heart, just like the cowboy way.

  • When I’m in the mood for the classics—Dwight Yoakam and Keith Whitley are my all-time favorites. Been listenin’ to ’em for years and still do. As for the new folks ridin’ high, I’ve been real into Zach Top and Lainey Wilson lately—they’ve got that fresh sound with some good country roots.

Favorite movie quote

“I’m your huckleberry.”

Doc Holliday

A man wearing a black wide-brimmed hat, a white shirt, a gray neckerchief, and a red vest, standing in front of a wooden wall and a sign.

As in... If you need a website ‘I’m your huckleberry’... Just ‘say when.’
